My Experience:

Graduating from Spring Arbor University with a degree in Business administration, I was recruited by Texas Instruments with positions in both marketing and strategic OEM sales working with C-Level executives for over two decades around the world. After relocating four times in my career, I retired from high tech and purchased a successful contracting business working closely with many of the area’s residential and commercial architects, builders, and contractors from Mackinaw City to Manistee. Our company serviced hundreds of homeowners' garage doors and designed and installed custom residential metal and wood carriage doors to installations of many of the area’s largest commercial garage door projects for fire halls, storage, and commercial/industrial facilities in the state of Michigan.

Why choose me?

I Love architecture, real estate and helping my clients achieve their goals. I have been an owner and general contractor of my own contracting business in Traverse City for almost a decade. I've purchased and sold my own commercial real estate and understand what is takes to successfully negotiate and close a complex sale or lease. You need an experienced, dedicated team to cover all the bases and that is why I chose Coldwell Banker Schmidt. Together, we have the background and knowledge to successfully manage a deal from start to finish.

About Me:

My wife and I grew up in southern Michigan. Our families enjoyed vacations up north while growing up. Our dream was to someday live in Traverse City and after more than two decades of living out west, we relocated and purchased our home in Bowers Harbor. We have called Traverse City home now for over 20 years. Our kids attended Central High School and NMC. My wife and I are members of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Traverse City Country Club. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, gardening, and volunteering weekends as a historic interpreter at Colonial Michilimackinac. I earned my private pilot’s license from the NMC aviation program with a seaplane rating.
